Dreamboy luvs watching movies... Any kind of movie, and tonight was no different. He watched

Dreamboy luvs watching movies... Any kind of movie, and tonight was no different.

He watched a chick flick (the author was hesitant to write this story as it would not include Azhar (a popular choice of the little pretties that have been reading these adventures, but, against his will, kicking and screaming "I am in silence", he guided his fingers across the keyboard)...

And, somehow, they tapped out this story (I haven't rated a story like this one... so, you may see something that you've not seen before... Dreamboy cautions the weak at heart, those of you that tear up in certain scenes of the movie... should stop reading now... just sayin')....

Ok, the movie is: 'Trains, Planes & Automobiles"... just kidding... the real movie... the chick flick is called: 'Eat Pray Love"... Dreamboy loves this movie... who wouldn't (well, the author likes action-packed, thrillers or sci-fi films... just for the record).

And, while the soundtrack has some very nice tunes including an all-time fav of the author in Marvin Gaye's "Got to give it up"... other songs came to mind as there is much drama and turmoil within the part played by Julia Roberts (I could luv her... I really could luv her... and, Dreamboy just goes gaga over her... so, you see my dilemma, where I have to write this story...). The story, for some of you diehards that have not seen it is about two souls who have been divorced, one recently, and the other 10 years ago... And, after Julia travels to Italy, India & Bali, she finally meets her "soul mate" (this post is for Dreamboy aficionados, the author prefers the term "sameone" for his love interests... because, to the other, a soul mate is forever, and if something happens to that soul mate then what happens to the lucky one that lives on 'alone' in a world full of 3.5 billion possible 'sameones'... just sayin'.... food for thought my little pretties...

Anyway, there are several 'tearing up' moments for Dreamboy in the movie... and, all thru it, Julia is trying to find herself, by travelling around the world, when, maybe she just needs to 'forgive' herself... I heard a song that mentioned wings... and, while it was an interesting song and fit the moment, it did not fit me... so, I went and retrieve two other songs... And, I want to know which of these two, would impact you the most... after reading the blog, please let me know... thanks, in advance...

the first song that came to me is an all-time fav... the lyrics go like this:

AMBROSIA - "Lover Arrive"

"Lover arrive, Lover arrive
Take me on wings into your heart
Find a new start

Lover arrive, Lover arrive
Take me from here into your soul
We can be whole

Remember the days
We'd run away
Laughing among all the fields

You looked at me
And all I could see
Were your eyes a shinin' so real

Ohhhh, li, li, li, li,
Ahh ah, li, li, li, li

Lover arrive, Lover arrive
Take me from here into your heart
Then we can start..."

This song captivates me... and, when I introduced it to one of my lovers she embraced it... It moved her... Like, I think it could have been used in this movie... I've never been approached about my inputs for songs to a movie.... But, I can tell you this in the books that I have started writing (haven't finished one out of four yet... but, I'm working on them) there is music woven into them... I feel compelled to do that... Maybe, if I finish one, I'll go in and re-visit... but, maybe not...

The next song I thought of is more recent, and it too, speaks to me... about the love between two people... the passion that can exist...

"Gustavo Santaolalla" - "The Wings"

"You give me the wings to Fly
You are the clear blue sky
I'm floating so free, so high
Falling with grace
For you and I
You give me the wings to Fly
Ooo yeah

You give me the wings to Fly
You are the clear blue sky
I'm floating so free, so high
Falling with grace
For you and I
You give me the wings to Fly..."

Hard for me to pick between the two, but, I felt strong enough about them to make sure that Dreamboy wouldn't object to me putting them in his blog...

Plus, being in the Christmas spirit and reading some very interesting blogs this past week, put me in a reflective moment... and, so we have this little diatribe...

Both sets of lyrics are short in duration, but powerful in meaning... listening to the songs is even more stimulating if you are a passionate person that wants the mood set with music; candle light; rose petals; edible cherry massage oil... just a few of my favorite things!!!

And, that's all I've got to say about that!!!

thanks for the read...

Merry Christmas!!!

It takes a real man to admit that he will view 'chick flicks'. Kind of like men who will also wear pink shirts or similar colours that are deemed 'girlie'. I love that you are comfortable sharing different sides of who you are with your blog followers and online friends.

I am not familiar with either of the songs that you listed and certainly see the challenge in trying to pic a favourite between them. However, since you put the challenge to us, I pick 'Lover Arrive'. I especially related to the following lyrics:

You looked at me
And all I could see
Were your eyes a shinin' so real

There is something very special and magical when 2 lovers look at each other and know how they feel about each other without saying a word. I have also been told how expressive my eyes are and how they sparkle and shine.

Hi sexyldy1000.

thanks for coming to visit, read and comment on my blog.

I can kind of agree with you on the 'chick flick' admission, speaking for Dreamboy as he lacks that skillset... However, the colorful shirts, maybe not... but, others can fight their fears and do that... to each his own... I always say...

I share specific flashbacks with this particular movie... pieces of the story touch me... we all have a history, and with this movie... the soundtrack; the travel; the fact that she does a favor for a newly discovered friend in Bali... and touches people's lives wherever she goes, was wonderful... she didn't give up... but, she needed to be exposed to different things so that she could see what was happening to others and make some adjustments and come to terms with what happened to her, and the person she wanted to become... but, first, she needed to forgive herself or understand herself so that she could move on... and, I think that is the part of the movie that I really liked... I read a book once that changed my life... 'The virtue of selfishness' by Ayn Rand... Sometimes, out of the box thinking has to be introduced into our lives by an innocuous agent (a book; a story; a lesson; something that we can accept easily without questioning...). I question a lot of stuff...

I liked that you selected a song based on a part that meant something to you... I have so much history with both songs... for different reasons...

I'll bet that your eyes are enchanting and could be considered: as the windows of the soul... just sayin'...

thanks again, for your comments!!!

Merry Christmas!

Hi __ruoutthere2006...

Merry Christmas to you too!!!

thanks for your visit.

I believe that you could be a very sensual woman, but, I don't have enough information to go on as you haven't shared any blogs... just sayin'...

Dreamboy loves the chick flicks... he thinks that they are awzam... I do not... plus, I don't own any apparel that has pink or purple in them... just sayin'... Those are for others, not me... and, certainly not Dreamboy... he only wears tighty whities too...

this particular movie (per Dreamboy's affirmations) is in his top ten chick flicks... He also really, really liked these: 'Dan In Real Life'; 'The English Patient'; 'Chocolat'; 'City of Angels'; 'Sleepless in Seattle'; 'Dances with Wolves'; 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' (he has borrowed many lines from this movie)... Some of his sliding top 30 women have their places etched in his fictitious mind... I don't know how that is possible, but, he swears by it...

Perhaps, I'll get a glimpse someday...

thanks again for your kind words...

Merry Christmas!!!

Hi sweet_VM.

thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my blog during this festive day...

thanks again for all that you do...

As you know, I am merely the voice for Dreamboy... he is the one that loves chick flicks, with a passion I might add... if you'll recall, you posted a blog awhile back on favorite songs... It was Dreamboy that encouraged me to add not only to your categories, but, also to the number of selections... Dreamboy has a vivid imagination and he doesn't believe that there can be one and only one favorite movie... as, he believes that we are all capable of different feelings and versions of ourselves... so, it gives us the ability to have several options, given our feelings and experiences to date... Shucks, I can remember when all I wanted to watch were cartoons!!! funny, how we change as we enhance our knowledge base...

merry Christmas... may your loved ones continue in their recovery...
