It would be nice to hear these words from you... Have you said them to someone else.. Were there dangerous, passionate times early on in your relationship... Before, you began to give up... as if the flame wasn't burning as bright if any... Have you ever thought you were lost or not going to heaven... was that possible... These are some very passionate and intriguing words and another interesting song as well. This is the song that first popped into my mind as I was reading your words it's one of my favorites. Not that it's a perfect fit for your words, but it does put some extra meaning to them, as least for me.. This reminds me of a time when my ex-husband and I first had our oldest son. We had been together for a couple of years and parenthood didn't come easy to either of us, it became a strain on our relationship. We weathered it, though, because at the time, all we had was our little family, but I remembered often feeling that I wished it could be the way it was. As we became better at being being parents and partners to each other, I realized, I didn't want it to go back to "the way it was".
