I wonder how many...

republicans and independents are going to have any interest in voting for trump if he doesn't get impeached or some other "unfortunate" event occur before the next presidential election?

I think the people might just be getting a bit disgusted with the performance of the republican party lately.

Seems likely they are going to be paying for this show of incompetence and corporate obeisance not to mention cold hearted greed.

Take Back America!

Not likely as long as the republicans are in charge.

I just have that feeling of impeachment, especially given the FBI investigation who also partly screwed up Hillary Clinton's campaign. Russia Russia!
Putin just ordered an assassination of an opposition MP in Ukraine!
Why is this man so desperate to do a deal with Putin when he can't even do a deal with his so-called fellow Republicans over abolishing Obamacare!

tickles4us replies on 3/25/2017 4:10 pm:
Spunky, you know why he wants to deal with Putin... money to be made by putting an end to the sanctions that are keeping Russia from making billions on the oil projects with Exxon.

Interesting isn't it that trump has no issues with Putin's murdering his opposition?

I'm hoping the sweet perfume of impeachment that is floating in the air isn't a false odor.

I think Pence would be beat by a decent democratic competitor after his coziness with trump and his part in the party antics not to mention all the dirt that is coming to light or would be if he were to run. He's to far right to draw in the independents.

Probably true, but that would give us 4 years of a guy who is as far right (if not more) and not as ignorant/crazy/egotistical, etc. And know how to work the political system. In other words knows not to make the mistakes, and to cover his arce, unlike Rump has.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

You mean if trump gets impeached and Pence takes over then comes up for election? I think it would be difficult for him to get elected as he is so far right but all it takes is the continued republican efforts to restrict or make it more difficult for Democrats to vote and all the other things they have done to interfere with the Democratic turn out. If the people don't get out and do the voting then anything can happen just look at last year.

push the midterms DNC. get out the votes and change the senate and the house. don't allow any appointments to the court until the Russian issue is resolved. Do not allow Trumpcare to pass without a PH review process.

RESIST, PERSIST. call your senators.........no re-election without fair representation.

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

I wonder....how many Americans... from one side or all the others today, would have any interest in voting for trump, next time around. Like I wonder, if we had a Brexit vote today here in Britain, England, whatever, if the result was going to be the same!
If you allowed voting on your comments, my vote goes to furbal.

tickles4us replies on 3/24/2017 12:48 pm:
Maybe a confirmation vote should be held for the important issues?

Furbal did come up with a good one.

What Furbal said plus . . . remember who becomes POTUS if Rump is impeached. Does having Pence as POTUS make things better?

I'm thinking that enough of the Republicans are becoming embarrassed ( and worried ) by his antics that they might nominate someone else the next time.
They may have to, if they hope to stay in control.

It only happened once before to President Franklin Pierce. . They do have that option.

BTW... I have you set to favorites, but this post didn't show until I expanded my favorite list. . Shouldn't this have been put in yellow on top of my list after you posted it? . It's not as if my list was full of new posts.
Just another glitch, I guess.

tickles4us replies on 3/24/2017 8:19 am:
He is certainly an embarrassment to those around him and the republican party in general. They could do that but you do remember what happened during the last primary? If he alienates enough of his supporters then it could work.

I would think it would be at the top or close to it if it was one of the most recent posts.

It seems he may be well on the way to accomplishing that.
