So saying "Happy Holidays" is not what you want to hear?
I would rather hear "Happy Holidays" in a cheery voice than "Hey Lady! Fuck off!" Said by a passerby.
Lol

I agree with you about referring to Christmas and New Years as "Happy Holidays" and when I was younger, it was pretty much understood that "Happy Holidays" referred to those two biggies. Nowadays, that's no longer true.

As for shopping, the Internet has changed everything, and I have noticed a distinct downturn in the size of the crowds in retail stores this year. However, we're now coming into crunch time, and unless you want to pay for air freight shipping, it's almost too late for online shopping and the crowds of last minute shoppers are increasing. (For future reference, this reply was posted on Dec 19.)

LOL! Yeah, I hear enough of that the rest of the year!

No, I'm mostly referring to marketing and broadcast messages. A warm "Happy Holidays!" greeting from someone who isn't trying to get something from me is always appreciated!
