How do you like your love?

I think it is interesting all the terms we use here but how differently people use and understand, or may not understand, them. This was asked very recently but in a different way.

The question is: Do you feel there is a difference between "making love TO you" and "making love WITH you"? If yes please explain for the class.

    And that's how it should be. Oh sorry, don't mean to pass judgement on anyone else. A better question may be, is it love or is it sex? I may actually murmur "I love you" in the middle of it, so I better be with someone I care for deeply. Seems I might just be in the wrong place.

    This is actually the topic of discussion on other websites. The answer is inconclusive. It has been suggested that make love to, is an older phrase, while make love with may be more modern. Another thought is that make love with is used by people whose first language is not English. I really dunno, don't care. I only care, "how do you like it, how do you like it . . . more, more, more . . . "

    Why don't we just forged aboud it and just say: "Let's make love". So what are you doing on Friday night?

The “is it love or is it sex” question is where I might head (pun semi-intended) next with this thing about the terms and phrases that get used here.

Well Joisy, if you want to be grammatically correct it would be – “So whom are you doing Friday night”? Could it be youse – I just want more, more, more . . .

 I'm very bad about remembering names, so while I know the song, I couldn't tell you who sang it or wrote it, but to to the question you're asking....I know exactly which post you're talking about because I did comment on it, and I don't think I did a good job explaining myself. The guy was insisting that the proper way should be "make love with me" I said it was "make love to me"....mine hence the other IMO, I never used or heard someone say "with me" . If I ask you, and I would , to make love to me, doesn't it imply already that you would be doing it with me???
Perhaps I just don't know how t o explain myself, but the correct way for ME is "make love to me". To each his own
