RIP Justin Wilson
RIP Justin Wilson I don’t do other social media so I will post this to this internet ether hoping it will get to him. I did not know him but I have heard he was a good guy. He was an advocate for safety improvement in auto racing. Hopefully some improvement will come from his passing. From what I could see he probably never knew what hit him – that is a good thing. As a former driver I know the addiction known as racecar driving. When you put the fire suit and helmet on you choose to take on, and even ignore, the potential dangers. I am probably too “old” to do it again but my helmet and suit are always ready. My condolences and best wishes to his family. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. |

Yes, and a freak/rare occurrence in the way it happened. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

It is a shame. He was only like 37, right? I hope they come up with something to prevent this from happening again. Did you ever drive at Pocono's Speedway? I was there once. I lived about 45 minutes from there. RIP Justin Wilson. No I am based in the west but Pocono looks like a great track with lots of history. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
