LOW AND SLOW

Well the years are speeding by faster than a group of scoots on a Montana highway. Been a great ride so far. 48 years of riding, fixing, and enjoying motorcycles has certainly given me many opportunities to see some really different things, meet some outstanding people in this world. Some good some not so much. As they say; Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. I can't really complain, 3 great , 5 grand , and I still got my hair. Me health is better than most ( must be all the fresh air and diet of bugs). Not liking the fact I have to wear glasses, but it is better than not being able to see. The days of 3-4 day full tilt boggie parties are a thing of the past. Blasting down the highway at 90 plus also gone, just not in that much of a hurry anymore. I figure that after all these years I am smarter not harder. I did my duty for my country and am a proud veteran as are my 2 brothers and my . As was my father and his father before him. 4 wars/conflicts ( conflict is the term people who haven;t served use) and still alive. A year in Iraq working as a civilian for the US Army was the closest I have come to buying the farm. It doesn't pay to become complacent. Like most people I think of my age group I worry about the world around us and what we are going to leave our /grand . I love my country but fear my government. I wish more people would vote with their mind instead of their heart. But this really isn't the time to stand on my soap box and preach to the choir. I am trying this site to see if I can find that lady who is around my age, smart, funny, a little kinky, a little serious that I can share some miles with. I have really down sized in the last 5 years or so. I find that I really didn't need all the toys, mortgage, credit cards and a pile of debt. I moved here from Oregon to start over. Quiet, slow, life. Me and my old don't need much nor do we what much. Happiness and peace of mind is of more value to me than a fat bank account, an the newest Iphone, car, color tv. I just don't need it. I started this journey with nothing much more than a bike and a dog, and who knew 40 years later, a full 360 and I am right back where I belong. Thing is, all that I love and respect and cherish is protected in that circle so that is not a bad thing. Someone were to ask me how I think my life is, I guess I would have to answer: WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT'S BEEN
