Redfish Season

It's that most wonderful time of year....Redfish season.
The cold front that came tru last week made things happen.
Finger mullet by the thousands poured out of the bay into the Gulf.
And, the mullet eaters were waiting.....
Limits of Redfish were caught almost every day except Friday.
It was occasional Red caught every 45 minutes or so, then at the tide change.....almost everyone who had a hook in the water got a keeper Red. A few oversized and a few undersized, but, jeepers was it fun.
A few Spanish Mackerel were caught as well.

This is a great time to be fishing and putting fillets in the freezer.
Mine is almost full.
