I have no idea what it is that other men are writing to women on this website...

...consequently, I don't know if the messages I'd drop would be better, worse, or the same as every other guy's message on here. Would a chat-up line from me be a barely-perceptible piss in the ocean?

When it comes to choosing how to introduce myself on this site, choosing the words...well, it's a balancing act, isn't it? I get that women don't like generic messages - and given how suggestive their pictures and profiles are, maybe they would get off on a message that's equally explicit and on-point. On the other hand, other women are vocal about how much they hate messages that go along the lines of "Let's fuck" and "wanna root?" and insist that they be treated with respect.

So what should I write? What do I say to make myself look interesting and, yes, a turn-on, without looking like one of the colossal sleazebags littering this site? Obviously I don't expect, nor do I want, women here to all be of one mind and to be uniformly receptive to the same pick-up lines... Though maybe it WOULD help.

I wonder how the other men on this site have gone about completing their profiles. Are their self-descriptions as wordy as mine, or do they generally boil their stories down to the pithiness of "I'm horny and I want to fuck"? And does that approach actually work? Maybe it does.

The balancing act - well, it is definitely a thing, right? I can't imagine presenting oneself as a slavering single-minded sex-beast is especially appealing. But then again, the whole premise of sites like this is naughty NSA fun, and members are actively encouraged to describe their sexual proclivities - what they like to do, how big their dicks are, where they like to stick it, and all that jazz (or jizz, as it were). If nothing else, atit's not dishonest. Maybe there's little point in presenting yourself as a nice guy if your basic intent is the fulfilment of your basic primal fuck-fantasies... But for what my word is worth - and really, is it worth anything in the context of an online dating site? - I AM a nice guy.
