Interactions and profile mismatches.

Over the years being FriendFinder-x and other sites one thing I have noticed occurring semi regularly is flirts/messages when there is no match on the senders profile. I have seen people message that they were interested but when I read their profile I do not meet the requirements they have listed.

Examples: Having a specific age range, ethnicity, body type, sexual orientation, relationship status and location preference.

I try and carefully read any profile that shows as a match on FriendFinder-x. I look for any qualifier that would exclude me and if I see one I pass that profile by without interacting. Yet many times our profile has<b> received </font></b>interactions that run counter what the person is looking on there profile. Are the lists just a suggestion of what people want or is this a case of people not fulling knowing what they want?

I just try be polite and courteous in my interactions. I do not wish waste peoples time if there is an exclusion listed on their profile. Am I going about things on FriendFinder-x the wrong way when interacting with others?
