Ugh

What an education

A few years back, I set up a group here on FriendFinder-x...the whole purpose of which was to discuss a pleasure topic that seems to be of interest (or at least of curiosity) to many folks. As the moderator, I made it very clear that the intent of the group was to be a place where discussions about this topic could take place....people could share their stories, ask questions, give/get advice and tips...where information on the health aspects of this particular practice could be found.

I was very specific about what I considered to be proper conduct for the group...keep it light, keep it fun, keep it informative, but keep the stupid come-ons and inane invitations out. In other words, "hey, guys...keep it in your pants."

I kept pretty close tabs on things for a while...starting, encouraging, or adding to discussion threads, pointing people in the right direction for info, etc. A few popped into the group who were either incapable of understanding plain english or chose to ignore the basic rules, and they were politely advised/reminded of the rules. Some politely retracted their comments, and joined the group discussions in earnest. Others just never came back. There were those who persisted with their idiotic (and almost always misspelled) pleas for sex or hitting on other group members who were promptly banned.

I took a hiatus for a bit, then came back to see how things were going. Jeez...like weeds, the morons had been ignored for so long they'd literally taken over the landscape, and the group discussion list was filled with stupid invitations, insulting comments, and "contributors" who trashed other members for telling them to go elsewhere. There wasn't a hint or whisper of good discussion to be found...the weeds had won. There was no alternative but to disable the group.

I think I now understand what some (most?) of the women on this site have to go through. It doesn't matter how carefully and specifically you state what you are - and are NOT - seeking, you're going to get bombarded by the cretins who think the specs apply to everyone but them.

Apologies for my gender, Ladies.
