In my waking stupor this morning I turned on the local news...as I usually do. The first commercial break happened within a minute and one of those commercials was for a daytime "talk" show. Oh joy

As I said, I was still in limbo from my sleep but I swear I heard Dr. Ruth's voice saying "Women need to take responsibility for their own sexual satisfaction."



As that statement sank in I began to think about it...take note people, a rare moment - me thinking Men do not have ESP, a crystal ball etc. so it makes sense that women should be responsible for ensuring they communicate to their partners what they want to have done so they can get to that state of ultimate satisfaction

Yes? Or are men supposed to already know what to do with our women? But....but....women are constantly changing their minds, the same thing never works twice, their moods change etc. etc. etc.

SOUND OFF blogville!!!

 It is not just sexually. I’ve been in a situation where I was “expected” to already know exactly what to do, or say, with her, and when, and how etc. As if ALL women are the same and the same ALL the time.

Like you said “But....but.... women are constantly changing their minds, their moods change”. Their wants and needs change too. Men are somehow supposed to just know, without asking or being told, where they are at etc. Can we pay attention and/or anticipate, yes sometimes we can and do, but if we miss . . .

That is only one aspect of the situation. There are some very good ones too. I believe it is all part of the Woman's Conspiracy Movement to drive guys friggin nuts. Of course there is no concrete evidence so . . .

 I voted yes, because it behooves everyone to communicate their needs (in the bedroom and out) to their partner. If she's unsure, a man should be able to suggest things. Then again, if the man isn't up to performing, then she's absolved.

 I used to feel the opposite, like why doesn't he GET it? But now, after many years, I am the one who finally GETS it, and knows I have to use what I have to get what I want, and the both of us need to work together to achieve happiness for all. Too bad we aren't taught this ... ever ... and have to learn it the hard way.
