Advice About Cliches. A Poem
Advice About Cliches. A Poem Today is the first day Of the rest of your life. Does anyone else cringe When they hear that advice? It's true and all There is little doubt If one stays alive. To me I would rather Hear the expression Carpe Diem. Call me a snob But the Latin Just sounds better. Well meaning folks With their sayings Offer them thanks And say with a smile I appreciate your encouragement And hope you Take life by the horns Ride em Cowboy Like in a rodeo. Or some other cliche For what is good for the goose Is good for the gander. And it's more polite Than telling them To mind their own business. Independently Romantic Sounds Better Than Lonely |

Sorry to hear that my lady... "...A lonely impulse of delight Drove to this tumult in the clouds; I balanced all, brought all to mind, The years to come seemed waste of breath, A waste of breath the years behind In balance with this life, this death. " but you see, cliche's are what we are made of Cheers - P

YES, I hear this all the time, and I noe my time is limited, therefore being the first day of my life is pretty useless info. I especially have gotten very tired of 'well meaning" (to themselves anyway) people giving me medical advice based on TV commercials. Dont they stop to realize I have lived with these issues ALL my years, have seen countless doctors, and if anything could have been done by now I would do it? Dont they thin I see the same damm commercials that are designed to cause alarm & discord in an un-educated public, to the benefit of the pharmacutical companies profit, and I have surveyed what they had to say, have done my own research(since afterall it IS my body) and have discraded their advertizing garbage?? Or worse yet, if something actually will help, (rare but possible), that the treatment is so damm e pensive that only the rich such as rocc singing women and pro golfers can afford it (which they dont have to since they advertize the product and get those meds for free for maccing those ads). Nope, they dont thinc of that even tho EVERYONE in this country now must deal with the same un-cooperative insurance companies (thanc you mister obama) and their policies of what they will cover and what they will not? If people cant leave people alone, instead of sticcing their noses in where they dont belong and un-wanted . Sorry for the rant if you have read this far, this hits a very apinful note with me!
