Far From Special. A Poem

I think I let him know
Too much too soon.
I told him secrets
That I should have
Kept to myself.
I showed him
I had faults.
That I was just ordinary.
He figured out
That I was far
From special.
That pedestal
He placed me on
Made of styrofoam
And easily knocked down.

You see he wanted to believe
In the sapiosexual woman
Of his dreams
Was now flesh and<b> bone
</font></b>And was now a reality.

Some men would
Takee my depth
And add an extra layer
Add an extra chapter
To my book.
Finding it an interesting part
Of the whole.
Think of how it relates
To the sum.

But he of the romantic dreams
Did not want such a facet.
He wanted his narrative
His near-perfect creation
Of an interesting woman.
And I fell well short of that.

 PT Barnum once siad, you can please some of the people some of the time, and all of the people someof the time, but you will never be able to please ALL of the people ALL of the time, and so you just do your best, and if it isnt good enuf, then they were not good enuf for YOU !
