I Honestly Care. A Poem

I know you are
Going to be sad.
I know your heart
Will be broken.
I know I should
Be supportive
I know I should
Be your friend.
And please believe me
When I say that I am.

It's what you would do
For me
Wouldn't you?
Give me support
In a time of need
In a time of trouble.

When you are healing
I will be there
I'm not sure you
Will want me
And my presence.
But I will be
