The Rights Of Songs In My Heart And Head A Poem

He took some of
The music from me
Has such a thing happened to you?
You had joy in one moment
Only for the next to lose?

When<b> songs </font></b>become associated
With a love interest
How does one get
Those<b> songs </font></b>back
As if new?
How can they become unhooked?

Disassociation of a song
Is there some trick
That one can learn?
Or technique?
Almost surgical
In that it would
Need precision.

I will have to look into
Some psychological gimmicks
Perhaps Anthony Robbins
Has the gist of it
With his Neuro-Linguistic programming.

I want those<b> songs </font></b>back
To enjoy without thoughts
Of him and his rejection
Ruining them.
I can be pragmatic
In that he had some significance
But I don't want him to own
Too much of my existence.
I don't want him to own

 Yep. When I was much younger (a baby), I would trip out on songs, that reminded me of her. 🤔
And it would annoy the nines out of me. Constant reminders...😭
After playing in a band for my whole life.. I own the song... before I'll invite her to be a part of it. 😶
But.. 100% I get where you're coming from...
After my separation.. (many years ago), I thought every fricken song on the radio, was written for me...🙄
