Our Words A Poem
Our Words A Poem Does he know My heart would be his With just a look? I can feel my heart swell Just reading his words. A would be worth A thousand of those Maybe more. Words connect us Like glue His and mine Interconnect Like Legos. One of these days I will have words That affect him The same. But I cannot hold my breath I have to keep the oxygen Flowing to my head. My heart too needs It's steady flow So I will keep seeking The words that make Our connection One for the ages. I do not want to read his mind That would be like cheating The universe of its mystery A never ending wellspring Of his genius and ability. I will wait for his partial And/or finished rendition. The funny thing is I am one to read the last page first. I am all for a happy ending. I hate one that is sad. Thinking my time would be a waste Getting involved only to have My heart break. So our words could Be considered In medias res In the middle of Our narrative. For we have begun Many a conversation And hope there Are many more forthcoming. Independently Romantic Sounds Better Than Lonely |

This was started in 2016. I added a few lines to it today. I suppose the first idea of a look and words are kind of weird and I should have connected a look later on...but hey...I like the words idea that came from that look idea. Independently Romantic Sounds Better Than Lonely
