Light Bulb Moments A Poem

I understand his frustration
He has told me
Over and over again
What I should be doing.
But me with my hard head
Just cannot follow
Through with it.

It is hard to say
Why I am seemingly stuck
It might just be
Some deep rooted
Mental block.
I might need
To ask myself
What there is to gain
By being obstinate
And standing still?

It might not be
Easily apparent
It took me a while
To figure out
Another thing
Another behavior
I had been doing
That was inauspicious.
But when I did
It was like
A light bulb went off
It was like a<b> switch
</font></b>To a generator
Provided a new found
Energy source.

I want to be less hard headed
I want to change some things
For the better.
I want to have my friend
Less frustrated with me
So that our friendship
Does not end.
So I hope that I can
Have one of those
Light bulb moments
Regarding my current situation.
And start doing the things
Taking the actions
That are productive.
