Camping is grand as long as its set up in a hotel room with a flushing toilet and a shower with water enough to knock you down lol

I think to most folks, they would say I "glamp" but I just call it camping!
I don't care for the Trailer Park Boys
This is my "clamper"

Hmmmm! Camping!! Always seemed fun and like one would enjoy themselves and have a good time! Although growing up in the inner city I do like the outdoors quite a bit. Never went camping though. Not sure most Black people have went camping or like it. We have seen to many Friday the 13th movies and think some Crazy person in a mask is out there with a big ole axe or knife on some crazy ,Deranged shit!!!

But from your pics and description it sure sounds and looks nice. I am sure even more so with camping partner such as yourself!!

Now that looks like fun my friend and I have never heard of the Trailer Park Boys, I mean I have heard people talking about them and that's all.

I don't camp unless there is a motor home or cabin as showers are a must I have had a lifetime of camping and I am so over it. I am so glad you enjoy it, and I hope you keep enjoying it..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

    Quoting  :

There is a lot to be said for Canadian Women. They are strong spirited and adventurous. Meaning, I recently typed in "women in backcountry camping alone" on the tube. Hum! Mostly Canadian gals on the results list to watch.

And they did not fit the shot putters or weight lifters category. Attractive adventurous - not afraid to try women.

During the hottest part of the summer I rent a condo, but like starting right about now, I camp at the beach. But it's certainly glamping. I have a memory foam mattress topper with me, AC, a portable hot shower. Don't bring the kitchen stuff anymore, just eat out every meal. Do have to bring a French Press though.

It takes a eight man tent for me to go camping by myself.

The hip definitely are a part of canadiana and would fit right in with your glamping. I do not have a camper but do like yourself get invited to go glamping with others. However, its not the trailer that makes the experience, its the friends you are with!

I have rough camped in the not so distance past, now I would prefer the comforts of the RV for a week or weekend.
I have tent camped in the summer and winter. One summer for a couple of nights with just a sleeping bag on a 50 mile hike with the scouts. I don't own an RV or popup so I am not going camping, maybe in the future.
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend..as usual I google Bobcangeon and Pigion Lake...beautiful place.
As a child I might have traveled through Bobcangeon on the way to Peterbrough from the family cabins north of Minden. Small world indeed.

Hi Joy.

thanks for sharing this one.

that was a nice, comfy ride...

I prefer that to a tent any day... but, I've done my share of tent camping... and marshmallow toasting and what not...

made me think of this one...

I have camped as many ways as you can, from tent/backpack camping, to canoe/tent camping, to MC tent camping, to Dodge Omni hatchback one person camping, to Pickup/topper camping, to Van camping, to Pickup camper, to 32 FT Bluebird motorhome 'glamping". While as I age, I prefer the amenities a self-contained camper has (my current is a self converted vancamper), but I still do some canoe & tent camping too, not much hiking or backpacking anymore tho. I camp all 4 seasons, nothing like -20F and thigh hi snow for a winter ski in camping trip!

I've been camping since I was 10 years old. Something my father and the cub scouts showed me was another way to enjoy life. Except for the last little stretch of life, I've camped in everything from the crudest kinda tent, to campers of various sizes, to cabins...……… Best part of all of them was the chance to be outdoors in an area where I didn't have to worry about work.

I would go "glamping", but I'm not one for roughing it in a tent. Tried it and it just wasn't my cup of tea (more so because of bathroom facilities than for sleeping in a tent, lol).

It's been a long time since I did any camping of any sort...before my youngest was born, actually.
