I don't think there's a parade as such, but the shopping centres will organise their own "Santa arrival" event and charge the earth for parents and kids to attend. And then the parents have to explain why this Santa is a different one from the other two Santas they saw at the other shopping centres. In the city centre, there's a "big wheel" you can ride on, and a German market, and there will be a torch light procession at some point, but that might be for Hogmanay rather than Christmas. Or both. As you can tell, I was turned down by the City Tourist Board - can't imagine why!

Hello Joy That is very cool! No they did at one time years ago to bad they don't do it now!! I have my tree up Maggie my cay has been enjoying it very much lol! I had to but it back together again this morning! I will have to get you some pictures of tree it's a new one. Butch

Unfortunately our city doesn't have a Santa Claus parade but many small towns that surround us, DO!...some during the day and others at night for the lights. I always tell the kids and adults who don't believe in Santa that if he is in "your heart" then he exists!  This photo is the best decorated yard in the city year after year: [image]

That is one thing I miss about our small town in Washington...the pre-holiday events. There is a parade, and Santa arrives...they light the town tree. When my kids were in high school, the marched in the parade as part of the band...and the youngest drove a fire truck several years. You may have a different view on Santa Claus as his travelling distance to your place is 1137 miles shorter than to my neck of the woods... plus, during the Christmas time you have to factor in bad weather... sickness... and, work stoppages... that could make the JOurneY longer... However, here are the answers to your questions... So to one and all : Does you city or town hold a Santa Clause Parade? yes, they do... When was the last time you went to see it? Never... Is it in the day or night? they do it in the early morning (Saturday), because it is in the heart of downtown... This post is for all you Master Bakers....lol. who still love to bake and make gingerbread.... and for everyone like myself who loves to eat them....lol.
