Here are my skates. I can go backwards slowly. I can do T stops. They are nine out of eleven quality ball bearings. The higher the number the faster they go. So they are pretty fast. I can't do any of those "double jumpy spinny things" HAHAHA! [Image] I have wrist guards. They are great. Isn't it kind of funny that package of helmet, knee pads, and wrist guards is called a "fresh meat package" haha-hahaha.

I do know that I am a klutz on the ice!  Adding blades to my feet does not make being anywhere near me any safer.So more power to those who can glide across the ice like they were flying majestically. Let alone those who add those effortless-seeming twirls and leaps, as you know they are anything but effortless to pull off. As much as I don't really watch any sports, figure skating definitely clocks the most hours of any I have watched. Even an herb as sweet as basil is nothing without its bite. Lord Basil

][ use to do all those move*z and Trick*z on SKate*z too !  ][t was rare to get a partner for Pair*z Skating, the Snow  Bank*z were to handy.   Tho,,, True those move*z and Trick*z alway*z happened at an inopportune time.  Guy*z use take (\/)e ][ce Fishing to cut the hoLe*z, (\/)y Spin*z were ssSSsssooo Fast  They use to do Barrel Jumping, ][ tried that too, had to give it uP tho...  ,,, found out that Ya lay them down side by each, we Stacked them !

I doubt that the UK will have another World Champion figure skater. But you never know. I remember the days of Robin Cousins and Torvill & Dean
