You know... I've never been to NASCAR, but the way you describe it sounds like fun.
And you know me — I love fast cars!
I'd need to go with a gang!

I'm in cooking mode this weekend and watching the PGA Championship: very relaxing.
Missed? I missed hanging with my family and friends. Nothing particular and no activity, just chilling and talking and laughing with someone... other than myself. 😶

I never cared for NASCAR . I am catching up on my sleep. I missed going to church

I am a big NASCAR racing Stock fan and would normally be at one of the local race tracks this weekend but alas all is shut down due to Covid. I use to go to Mosport ever weekend when I lived in Ajax. Great track. Now I usually go to Delaware here in London. Another great track.
Hopefully the restrictions will be lifted before the summer is over so we can get out and enjoy the races once again.
love your pics of the track.

I am not a race fan but I do like to watch on occasion.

I want to take you into the fiery lair of steamy sexual delight on this hot sultry night.

back in the '70's. I was in a stock car club! I am not much of a race fan now though!

Oh, yeah. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's race in Austin. If the rain stays away, it should be interesting to see who can manage their tires best.

In my former hometown, there is a neighborhood speedway, that used to run figure-eight demolition races every Saturday night. They also held a swap meet every Sunday and Tuesday, as well as was a place used to shoot off fireworks on the 4th of July.

It was owned by a prosperous family who lived in the area for a few generations, but when all of the older ones died, the remaining members had to sell off quite a lot of assets. The speedway events were one of those assets that had to go, sadly.

I consider myself lucky to have been witness to a few figure-eight demo races. Those were hairball! The swap meet still goes on, but I do miss the races...

Good Morning Joy,
I grew up in the shadow of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway They are running NASCAR there along with the Indy cars and Memorial Day weekend the city shut down for about everything but racing.
Covid is having its affect here limiting attendance to 40% with people spread out but compared to last year that is good because they ran the race without any spectators.
I go to some of the local car shows to see the classic cars
Have a Good Weekend

Hi Joy, I've been a NASCAR fan for many years. I've raced my Firebird and Corvette at SCCA events on the Charlotte ROVAL several times. Even as a Novice, the racing is fast and intense. Turn up the volume and enjoy watching all of the racing this week.

I have raced Canadian Tire in Iracing on pc. Racing in real life though since 1979. I prepped a 3/8 mile dirt track and supplied a tow truck weekly there for around 15 years. Raced Dirt Street Stocks, Dirt Modifides, Dirt Late Models, all three classes of Sprint Cars on dirt (305, 360 and 410s) winged and non winged, Midget cars on dirt, , Mini Sprints and Legends Cars on dirt. Pretty much 5 nights a week up until 2006. In 2006 while clenching the last night of a championship I had a severe and violent wreck. 30 feet in the air at times, on fire, wicked impacts while flipping end for end and sideways around 25 times starting out at a few clicks under 100 mph. That is what damaged my internals to where cancer set into two severely damaged areas of my colon as a result. The cancer set into my colon during the fall of 2008. Hmm, I forgot one... I raced asphalt once at Texas Motor Speedway in a Thunder Roadster while I was down there for Honda tech training, so yeah I am into racing. Most likely will record the road coarse race to watch later

I didn't know NASCAR was a "thing" in Canada.

I mostly watch the "big" races - Daytona/Talladega.
