I'm curious

I am an avid blog watcher and participator, and I always check the blog promotion area upon logging in.
So here's my question, if a member only allows their select few friends to read and post a reply, then why promote those blogs to the rest of us. I see an interesting headline, click and I'm disappointed to see Members Only under the heading.

That question occurred to me also...I have a little different take on things in blogland. There are certain members who feel the need to turn this site into a popularity contest. Most of the people do it for free gold memberships. The more friends, like, comments etc. the longer their free gold membership gets extended. It's almost like being in high school again lol. The good thing is there are more than enough blogs to read to make up for them.

I don't mind that some people just want to communicate with their friends, the issue is why after they click that button that FriendFinder-x decides to promote it to the general population...kind of defeats the purpose of making it private...
