growing
growing Ok to start this off this is the first time i have ever written a blog and until now i was kinda unsure exactly what a blog was so here goes. When i was growing up i was raised pentecost which means my hair was never cut i had to wear dresses that came below the knee we didnt own a t.v. And was made to believe that television was the devils eye ball and everything about it would send you to hell. I wasn't allowed to play with Barbies if they had on makeup or ear rings because she looked like jesabel we didnt go to a restaurant if they served alcohol or get to go to skating rinks bowling allys or anywhere that played non Christian music and our week was filled with as many church sevices we could fit in. I remember sitting in church and the preacher would be preaching and i always felt the he was looking into my soul and making me feel like everything in my life was a sin. When i went to school the would always tease and make fun of me so i ended up being really shy and backward and growing up i really had no understanding of anything worldly. Im going to end with that for the day and i will write more tomorrow........ To be continued...... |

You did a great job for it being your first blog. I can relate to what you are talking about, I didn't grow up Pentecostal, but I was raised in Jehovah's Witnesses, and much like you I was teased and looked at differently when people found out. Needless to say, I left as soon as I could, I realized that way of living was not for me and I've been happier since. Thank you for sharing, and keep up the writing.
