if you really do have a loop going through your head, might I recommend "turtles all the way down" by John Green. He is someone who has dealt with 'thought spirals', as he calls them, all his life and this book is about that very thing.

and you enjoy being maddening? I never would have guessed

p.s. although it is a lovely picture, don't actually read by candle light. its bad for your eyes!

book bell and candle......wait....SHE'S A WITCH, A WITCH........(apologies to Monty Python...)

the japanese novella sounds intriguing.....and I always find collections, such as Guardian Angels and Other Monsters, a collection of short stories, great for when you need to dip in and out....otherwise I get my "interrupting me reading whole novel in one sitting" stare on

Thoughts in sensual pleasure to erotic writing writ.

I love it that you used the word "Bellisimi!" correctly (gender neutral, all of you).
I will probably go pick up the short story collection soon.
I'm reading Naomi Klein "No, is Not Enough" and "The Extra Woman by Joanna Scutts (I love that last name for some reason).

My heart sort of hurts for you because of how you feel about the Pirate. I know that it is delicious and wonderful and packed with all sorts of feelings that bring you really into the NOW because there might stop being LATERS but... (catching my breath) I am also so very happy for you that you have him in your life. As well as Mr. G.

But what do I really know about you (aside from reading your blog)...
