Consider trying a bacon weave over your form. When I smoke turkey breasts I weave the bacon pretty tight so that when it shrinks it doesn't leave large gaps. I use a lattice weave like you would do a pie crust top, just tighter. It might hold together better and give more solid end product.

Faux long pork! That is rather creepy. But it could be great to serve up a pair for a Samhain party! Maybe with a little bubbling cauldron of herbed cheese fondue for dipping, strategically placed between the severed limbs. A big old butcher knife set just to the side for carving... I also wonder how coating the gauntlet in a light batter, like tempura, might do? Even an herb as sweet as basil is nothing without its bite. Lord Basil
