Which words are most difficult to spell?

I recently read an article revealing words people
in each state of the United States have problems spelling.
I found it to be an interesting topic.

The author misspelled the word used as Hawaii's hardest word " Boutonniere/Boutineer".
I didn't catch it, spell-check did when I typed the list into this blog.

I've included the list here.
Several words are tough in more than one state.
The word for Massachusetts intrigued me, since it is Massachusetts.
Are any of these words on your list of hard to spell words?

Alabama - Tongue;
Alaska - Hawaii;
Arizona - Diarrhea;
Arkansas - Leprechaun;
California - Desert;
Colorado - Beautiful;
Connecticut - Desert;
Delaware - Neighbor;

That's funny about Massachusetts. I just use MA.

Dessert vs Desert. I had to study that one and it still can trip me up.

I always have to tell myself that there is no "a" in definitely.

"Vacuum" took me a while, but I remember it now.

I'm from Nebraska. Yep. Gotta use the spellcheck on "Guarantee".

Spellcheck for leprechaun too.

There are a few other words I always have trouble with. "Recognize" is one. .. Even without spellcheck I can usually tell when something is spelled wrong, I'm great with the English language, but 'spelling' has always been a weak spot. That goodness for spellcheck. ..

Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

Restaurant.. I can't even comprehend how to begin to spell it so spell check will fix it. I have to use speech to text.

Form and from as well as angel and angel.. dammit.. angel.. dammit.. angle. My brain does not recognize them as different words. But then again, I'm dyslexic.

Dyslexics are teople poo!
Dyslexics of the world untie.

I can't help but be intrigued by the number of times "gray" appears on the list. I wonder if that is due to the British author using "Fifty Shades of Grey"?
