The people who claim that others are in a cult are the same ones that will deny being in a cult themselves. These are the same folks that can never be wrong even with proven with facts and logic. They are from all areas of the earth. They come from every gender, political persuasion, religion, age and ethnic group. This is why unity will never truly happen as too many people believe they are perfect and most everyone else is flawed.

Life in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

People will always be attracted by strong personalities. Trump is kind of an interesting study. He's got that NYC self centered attitude that a lot of us hate, but he's also a fighter, which a lot of people of the Republican side of the political spectrum have been begging for for a long time. The man exposed a lot of the crap that goes on in DC, and the beltway types hated him for it. He was without a doubt the most smeared president in US history. (above and beyond the legitimate criticisms that he left himself open for) One can make a lot of comparisons to Andrew Jackson who was also hated by the coastal elites of the time. They used to accuse him of keeping goats in the White House.

Bernie has a little bit of a different appeal. His supporters see him as a honest in his convictions, which they don't see in other politicians at the same end of the spectrum. He also allows some people to be anti-establishment while still supporting establishment policies.

Both of these guys could be considered rebels, which a lot of Americans are generally supportive of. They aren't politics as usual. In the end however, politics in the US have become so unpleasant that good people will not run for office, and we end up with a bunch of failed lawyers who are more interested in promoting themselves then they are in running the country in any sane fashion. Eventually, it'll send us the way of the Romans.
