So Is IM Any Better? So I received an email in my personal email account touting the "new & improved" IM. So the question is....... Is it REALLY? Usually the improvements are anything but.....lol It's a serious question though! I very rarely go on the IM....crude and rude can sometimes be the order of the day/night. I'll occasionally go on the cams to chat....but again very rarely...since the same people are crude or rude on there too. But nice people too....I've had some nice conversations. So anyway......do you use the IM? Does it seem better than previous versions? Are these alleged improvements only for gold members....or the general population....lol I may try it out for myself....but figured I'd find out the scoop first....lol Have fun...... The new IM sux!!! With every upgrade, FriendFinder-x makes it worse.

I checked it out and it was an eyesore. Maybe with time, I will get used to it. But not many use IM like before. Sometimes you get a message while on the site and don't notice it later.

I don't care for the new IM and not even sure it works at all. It doesn't seem to save my preference like the old IM did. I am getting tired of paying for a messed up site.

It's AWFUL! The members who are shown on IM are from another continent. Before the people listed were from the same city as the chatter.

Ims are the only real way i can reach out to anyone on here as a standard member- other than getting on cam and hoping they come to me! I don't see any major difference besides the aesthetics of the IM windows, but am hoping that more people get on and use it! Not they just need to stop charging 15 points for standard members to send an IM!

I am not sure whether this "new IM" system is totally launched yet--or whether they have retracted it to work out some bugs. The design for laptops seems crisper and cleaner, and they responsiveness seems swifter. However, the iPhone interface seems to be a mess. Sometimes I open it up and the photos are HUGE, and it's not clear where to click to exit or to send a message. For now, I'll just set back and see what happens. Besides, I don't use it that ofter--mostly just to reply to members who used it to initiate a conversation with me. To be continued....

I'm just going to guess that it will freeze up and not work just like the old versions. I will just let people contact me through my mailbox in my blog. That seems safe and not having to spend 15 points just to send an IM that might not get answered seems out of sorts. Don't charge until the other person responds is my way of thinking. Life in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

I too am getting tired of paying for a site that is half assed! I only get one page of searches now...when I use to have unlimited. I don't know if THAT is a site wide issue, or just one I have.
