Your First Concert... Your best concert!!

ABOUT ME
My first concert was QUIET RIOT.. In 1983
I was in the 9th grade... My PARENTS (Yes, lol...my parents) took me and my best friend...
My mom and dad sat directly behind us ... Of course we were in the nose bleed seats...
and my dad kept saying, "I smell pot in the air!!".... I remember how hard it was to TRY
to appear COOL with my mom and dad sitting directly behind saying UNCOOL remarks during the entire concert..... AND NIGHT RANGER opened the show for Quiet Riot...

ABOUT YOU
Who was your first concert?
WHO was the best concert you've ever seen?

I LOVE music... I write songs... I've had a few recorded locally.... If anyone knows Miranda Lambert...lmao... Tell her I have a song I want her to record for her next album... ha ha...

MUSIC MAKES THE WORLD GO AROUND....

Godsmack and Shinedown. 2 of my favorite bands of this generation. It was after high school and I saved a few tickets to see them a few other bands I can't remember but it was at Loudwire. I missed Shinedown a few years ago when they came to Grand Junction.

My first concert ever, I was living in Paris Texas, it was 1982, Sylvia was the featured act, opening for her was a little group called Alabama, and the king himself George Strait, first Rock concert was supposed to be Rolling Stones and Aerosmith in 1987 in San Diego, but the stones had to pull out last minute, so Aerosmith became the featured act, and Whitesnake, who had just finished a concert the night before in L.A. came down and opened for them. I've also seen The Eagles, George Thorogood, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Queen, Reba, Brooks & Dunn, Aaron Tippin, Sawyer Brown, Rascal Flatts, and Garth Brooks in concert, can't say I can pick a favorite out of all of them though, enjoyed them all.
Sylvia and Laura Branigan always reminded me of each other.... for some reason

My first concert was Uriah Heep opening for Blue Oyster Cult...Summer 1983.
Best concert I never saw but had tickets for was Twisted Sister opening their Stay Hungry tour in Binghamton NY and MTV was to be live broadcasting the concert- and I was told I couldn't go cause my car wasn't the best choice to drive...

Best concert I have been to? To date I would have to say Lita Ford whom I saw last Oct and I did the meet and greet (have been listening to her since 1983) and she is a fantastic person.
OMGosh... I love Lita Ford.. I do "Kiss me Deadly" at Karaoke... meow

A day on the green Oakland CA, Fleetwood Mac headlined 1975 (? it was the 70's so a little foggy about dates) NorCal was the center of the music world in the 60"s and 70's ... my older brother was a guitar player ... I got to go places and hang with the band as a teenager ... so it was different for me. The Fleetwood Mac concert that day was tops.

Well I was afraid I'd age myself with the answer but after reading the answers I guess not.

Speaking of Guesses - The Guess Who 1972(?).

Best without question AC/DC - (Several times in what was W Germany).

First concert for me was Papa John Creech opening for Robin Trower, I think it was 1976, the best was Pink Floyd.

Oh My I can't recall which one of these was first: Grateful Dead or The Who ( when they first presented rock opera "Tommy"- they both played the now defunct Boston Tea Party in Kemore Square. We sat on gray gym mats on the floor. I remember the ticket price for The Who was about $4.50
I can't honestly say what has been the best concert Neil Diamond in Dublin Ireland or TajMahal in the Pavilion in Boston or John Mayall in several venues. Going to see him again in June!! He's 83 and still can do it all!!!
