What would you do?

What would you do?

As most of you bloggers know, I currently live in a very nice, big house with my and his wife so that I can go back to school.
I love it here though I do look forward to being on my own again.

My are going on vacation for a whole week...just me and the pit bull lol oh and 5 cats and a snake.

With the weather as nice as it's supposed to be next week, I am really looking forward to some good old-fashioned R&R...alone...for the most part lol . Getting a bottle of bourbon and some 7up....stuff to do some baking with....I have so many crafts and hobbies to indulge in...I have limited funds and no car so I do have to get creative with finding fun things to do.

So....

If you had a whole week....either to yourself or with a significant other....away from your daily grind....what would you do?
Let's say, just for grins, that your funds were unlimited. I will do a more real blog later. But for this one, you have unlimited funds. But only a week and then it's back to reality.
Would you jet off to an isolated island? Would you invite others to this island paradise? If so, how many? Are you talking hundreds of partiers or just a select few or just your one close friend?
Maybe you would put on your backpack and hike that trail that takes a whole week to hike? With someone? By yourself?
Would you do a whirlwind trip around Europe in a fancy car? or around the good old USA in an old VW bus?
Or would you stay home so that you could buy all the supplies you need to tackle that amazing project you've been dying to start for years. Maybe have a big party halfway through the week?

Let your imagination go crazy.
Ready, set, go!

btw, the first picture and the last pictures are not mine. The others are mine.

A loaf of bread, a jug of wine and thou= make the most of what you have- travel takes up too much of precious moments. Get dinner catered in; get breakfast in bed with mimosas; BBQ lunch out by the pool and swim naked- every single day and leave the house work alone

I have always thought one of those week long fly in fishing trips to Canada would be great. A week of isolation, fishing, mother nature, peace and quiet, and relaxation. Away from the rat race and stress of todays world.

Of course if there was someone sharing my life it would be something different.

So nice to be insane; no one asks you to explain.

Well could still be the same dream if she enjoyed fishing too!

I don't know that we would do anything different. We both kind of feel like we're living the dream right now. My wife loves the city, so we might spend a week in Toronto or Chicago, or even someplace new if she wanted. But we're both awfully happy right here just hanging out together.

Gorgeous photos !!

Maybe buy two bottles instead of one.

Run around the house naked when nobody is there, just because you can.

An awful lot of places around the world to explore. I'd have to think on it a while to decide where to visit.

Yes, one week is not enough. since this is purely fantasy, I probably should have made the vacation a year long one

going where the road takes you sounds wonderful.

You have caused some thinking on my part with this question. Really I have no idea. I limit myself on what I spend, just because that is what I do. But if I want something I get it or do it. I have been lucky in life by being able to do what I want. I farm and I really enjoy the feeling of accomplishment from my work, and enjoy the environment I work in. I can not imagine going to a office,or even going into town and having to deal with alot of people on a regular basis. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones who get to do what makes them happy.
You did raise a good question, but I will have to think on it a little more. Ha ha

Anything worth doing is worth doing right

LiveLifeDoU replies on 8/21/2016 8:48 am:
Yes, 1big, I would agree that you are one of the lucky ones. Or perhaps you just planned wisely, knowing yourself well enough to take the steps to get where you are now. Kudos to you!

the limit to the limited funds would have an effect on what I might do. might try to play golf in a different city every day with a different LPGA pro each day.

I am not a golfer but appreciate the skill and the beautifully landscaped golf courses. Sounds like fun!
