All-out WAR on spam and scam must be declared!!

Cyberwar is upon us, though we did not choose it. Many do not even recognize it, because the companies who are our enemy are cowards and liars who hide behind people they pay to come here and pretend to be normal, individual users. Though we did not choose this war, we, the decent people just here to have fun, must now bring the war to our enemy as an overwhelming force for good against evil. We must execute the complete and total destruction of the criminal slime that see this site as a slaughtering pen, and all decent and honest users as sheep for the slaughter. These evil cretins have no mercy on us. They feel nothing for the suffering and the loss they cause to us. They feel only the lust for our honestly earned money, and will do anything, no matter how evil, to take it from us. To destroy them so we can live in peace and harmony, we must show no mercy, no pity and no desire to stop attacking them until total victory is achieved, and they are completely destroyed and unable to execute their evil schemes in the virtual lands.

I don't think many users realize that there are good-sized companies, like Link Connect Network Services, AKA "LCNS Worldwide" in the Philippines, that are out every working day hiring people to come pretend to be regular users at this and other sites, purely for the purpose of stealing as much of our money as they possibly can. Whole cyber infrastructures and ecosystems are operating offsite and out of our view, devoted to deception and theft against innocent users who just want to have fun. And, it is working! It is working very well and it has been working for a long time (I do not know exactly how long), harvesting millions in stolen cash and stolen services from internet users here and around the world. They laugh and and mock good and innocent internet users for being fools and marks for them to plunder. Their minds are totally given over to evil, and they see good things, like honesty and trust and openness, as laughable weaknesses they can easily exploit.

We have to turn the tables on them and come together as one user population with a culture of zero tolerance for any dishonesty of any kind. It has to start with the smallest things and come from the ground up until we have washed and disinfected the user culture of any deception hiding these parasites. The system is too big and there are too many users for the company who owns it to crush the spammers and scammers without us, the users, stepping up and shouldering most of the burden. But the net is what the netizens decide it shall be, and that is good.

The first thing we must do as a user culture is develop a sharp eyed vigilance for the paid agents of evil among us - and there are many - who depend on our apathy and willful ignorance to stay here and execute their schemes. Most of us just want to live in peace and mind our own business, we do not wish to cause a stir or judge others. That is admirable in a times of cyberpeace, but exploitable in a time of cyberwar. We must start living in a "see somethingb - say something" culture here and not be afraid to report it when we see things like fake user profile pictures, false names and false biographies, and ANY behavior that indicates another user isn't here just for fun, but to deceive others and harvest cash from our virtual lands.

Probably most of our younger users do not remember the cesspool that was New York City from the late 60s to the early 80s. They New York of the "Death Wish" and "Warriors" films, where it was considered very strange and unsafe for an honest citizen to walk the streets of his own city at night. That is what this place and much of cyberspace is today, a nasty and dangerous place for the decent and peaceful. When Rudy Guiliani decided he was going to fix all that and change New York's entire culture, he did not start by attacking the big, high value, splashy crimes, he started by enforcing things like an open container law, public decency and cleanliness laws, strict adherence to zoning and public drunkenness laws. It was brilliant, and completely overhauled the culture of the city from the ground up in just a few years. Success bred success and the people of the city, who previously thought nothing could be done about the criminal element running the city, suddenly saw change was possible and they came together as New Yorkers, creating the cleaner, more peaceful New York of today.

That is what we are going to have to do here to drive out the parasitic criminal infestation, that is leeching blood from innocent users here. Here is an example of a simple action that users can turn into a habit, a small action that will make cyberspace a little more clean and trustorthy every day.

Each and every time I encounter another user, I do a google image search in his or her profile pictures. If I find they are using images stolen from the internet and falsely representing them as themselves, I report the user on the spot. And I mean, every time I send or receive any communication, the very first thing I do is examine the other party for honesty. I want to know who I am really communicating with, and I will not tolerate those who misrepresent themselves to me, because that is the root from which a huge and evil tree of lies has grown. Lies that protect evil enemies like LCNS Worldwide and others who are shooting us like fish in a barrel now. If I see violations of the site's rules of conduct, I will report them - and not only that, but I spend part of each session on the system purposely seeking out offenders and reporting them. I am an old Cyberpunk and I feel a little sadness that we can't all pretend to be whatever we want to be in cyberspace anymore, yes I understand totally. But, at least for now, that culture is giving our evil enemies shelter and cover for executing a hidden war of lies and deceits against us. If we clear out the casual and more innocent deceptions common here, then the intentionally evil misrepresentations of our enemies will be clearly exposed. So I say to my fellow users, yes change may seem difficult and painful, but our enemies are already causing unknown amounts of difficulty and pain to us that is mostly hidden because our cyberculture traditionally values a tolerance for creative misrepresentation and minding one's own business.

The next time you sit down to go through your system mail or browse the users that show up in a big search, take a few minutes to run a google image search against every single user you encounter for, say 30 minutes or an hour. You will be SHOCKED at the level of general dishonesty that currently exists in cyberspace. Report them ALL and show no mercy toward deception. And it doesn't stop with fake profile pictures. Professional scammers are working the people of cyberspace every day, pretending to be just regular users, but executing planned and scripted acts of evil against the rest of us. When we observe even slightly suspicious behavior by other users, we are going to have to challenge and report it. When we hear lies we are going to have to call out those that tell them and hold them accountable to the truth. That old cyberculture must change or we will continue to be victimized and exploited by international gangs of sociopaths like LCNS and others. Billions of our cybercitizens' dollars are leaking out of cyberspace and into the hands of unrepentantly evil sociopaths. Netizens are being hurt and deceived, their hearts manipulated and their dreams shattered by these criminals every day. Everyone knows that when a tick has his head buried deep in you and is gorging himself on his fill of your blood, he fights being removed and it's painful and difficult to get him off of you. Temples of cyberevil like LCNS Worldwide will not easily give up their parasitic hold on cyberspace, and they can afford to have an army of liars and disinformation operatives foment resistance to any change that threatens the cash flowing from our pockets to theirs. But a culture that worships truth and honesty can cut them off from the supply of deception that keeps them alive. A culture that worships honesty and is intolerant of dishonesty is true to the origins of cyberspace - in ARPAnet, which served the pursuit of truth in our research institutions.

Don't have any mercy on the agents of evil among us. Develop an ear for detecting their lies and deception and get right up in their face and call then out on it. Do not let them smile and shrug and expect that you won't be an asshole and publicly point out their lies. In fact that whole criminal's psychology is upside down, it is in fact the liars who are the assholes, people who point out the truth and cause them to be shunned, disbelieved and punished are heroes and agents of good. ONLY a criminal can complain when the everything is seen in the clear light of truth, always remember that. I hope the citizens of cyberspace will make life here unbearable for liars, con men and charlatans. I hope our evil enemies hate us and curse us for not tolerating even the smallest of their lies. Have no mercy on them, because for YEARS they have had no mercy on you, laughing and mocking us for the pain and loss they caused us. Never forget that. Seek them out and take revenge upon them for trashing up cyberspace with their lies!!

Now is the time. See something, say something. Don't tolerate other users who have fake profiles, fake pictures, or other misrepresentations of reality. When they attack you verbally for merely uncovering or pointing out their lies and revealing the truth, just hear it as the satisfying death cry of another poisonous parasite you've crushed under your heel.

Now, let's DO this people. It starts TODAY!! Lets bring their war against us out in the open, expose it and the agents of evil attacking us, and end it once and for all - victory! - with the overwhelming force of people power.

Crush the enemies of cyberspace!! Expel them forever from the virtual lands! Long live Cyberspace !!!

If we all spent as much time charging windmills like a modern day Don Quixote, as you suggest, we will have no time left for the reasons we log on here.

Checking photos on Google is fine, except as happened in my case, I was once reported for having a 'fake photo' but it was mine and somebody else used it on their profile! After much protest I even got banned, hence the '2' in my nick.

I don't like the idea of a Cyber Police' as they normaly do more hrm than good !
