Looking for a REAL Photography Teacher

Ok I bought a Canon T5 a couple months ago on the notion that a particular person was going to teach me things about using it and<b> photography....</font></b>since he was the one that brought the idea to my table. Well it's been almost 6 months and yet I'm so far behind on learning. So I'm looking for a TRUE photographer that's willing to actually teach more than just get in my cookie. Please be local and reputable. Thank you.

 Wow, that is trippy. I do it as a semi - professional, so if you want some tips, lets chat. The one thing I can tell you (6 yrs later) is to go out and shoot a good number of shots, get acclimated to it. that and read the manual! Don't worry, if you don't get any perfect...practice makes perfect...or at least close to it.
