When I lookup this Paris address, I find a quiet bookstore, but in the 1920s and ’30s, it seems to be the address of a photography studio setup by Jacques Biederer. The studio became well-known for producing sleek, sophisticated photos of erotic nudes and images depicting bondage, whipping, and spanking. Jacques broke new ground and set the standard for later artists such as Charles Guyette, John Willie and Irving Klaw who followed in his footsteps.
