Why Are We Taking in Refugees? Can we afford to take so many?

Why is the U.S. even taking in refugees? Apart from the terrorist dangers surrounding the vetting issues, we certainly no longer have the resources to take in refugees or any new immigrants. Yes, it’s altruistic to welcome newcomers, according to the MSM, the establishment politicians, and the “We care so much” liberals, if you have the ability to take care of them or a job for them. But the reality is, the U.S. cannot take care of its own citizens, much less take care of everyone who wants to come here, whether legally or illegally.

We don’t have enough jobs for the citizens of this country, much less jobs for new arrivals. We have over 94 million working-age adults not working, most because they cannot find jobs.

they're all going to stay in Obama's house, he wants them let HIM feed 'em.

Besides, everyone of them that is let in, will get a roof over thier head, food stamps, and all types of other government handouts.

what about the people of this country right now ??
Like you stated, there are 94 million Americans out of work!!!

Let alone, how many of the do you think already have ISIS ties ??

By the way, is Russia taking in any of these people ????

i think we all know the answer to that !!!!

I agree. I read where the refugees are give a house a car a job and $18,00.00 cash. To set up their households. Funny we have homeless Americans, vets and disable people. But no help for them.

Don't worry. They are going to be vetted. They are going to be asked if they are terrorist. If they say no, they are allowed in. Now, don't you feel better?

So, to the establishment politicians and the liberal mouthpieces, keep the immigrants coming. Enjoy your “feel-good moments” that you are saving people from strife. You also might tell these immigrants that their free ride or their hope for a job might not be realized because the U.S. is already way overbooked and heading toward bankruptcy.

U.S. population of “working age” (16 +) people is about 240 m. Less about 150 m in the work force leaves about 90 m. But 90 m is not complete. It includes people who wouldn’t be expected to be working. Specifically:
• People age 16 to 17, who likely are in high school: 9 m
• People who are enrolled in either two- or four-year colleges: 21 m
• People age 65 and older, who have reached retirement age: 40 m
Leaving 20 m people are of normal working age, not in school and not working.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I find it hard to believe that the people of the U.S. are no uncaring about others that they would refuse to help people who are in need. This totally blows my mind. It was other countries (namely France) who came to the aid of this country when it was being formed. They even gave us a wonderful gift of the Statue of Liberty. If we refuse to help others then who will help us at the time we need help and we will need it at some point. Almost everyone who lives here ( and I do not refer to members of my own race who were forced to come here) came from some where else. At a time when they needed help. Helping others has always been a very hard thing to do, BUT, IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

Has anybody taken a hard look at the pics and videos of these so called refugees? Ever compare how many able bodied young and middle aged men you see to how many children ... women and elderly?

Ruminate on that for a bit and then ask yourself why are these men not staying behind trying to make their home land a better place while their wives .... children and elderly parents are safe here .. or in the other countries accepting them?

Russia, the largest country in the world with over 6 million square miles and therefore ample room, are not only not taking any, they're not even keen on letting in people from ex-Soviet states

It serves several objectives of the current administration.

It make them feel good about themselves.

All those refugees will get driver's licenses and allowed to vote.

They will drive home the narrative to the refugees that the R's are bigots, they hate you and want you to be killed by ISIS. The hope is to generate enough votes for the Ds to remain in power for a very long time.
