Head over Heels !!!

Head over Heels !!! The other night Snatch and I were talking, and she asked me if ever went head over heel for a woman in my life. Then thinking back I told her I surly did one time, and you really want to know the truth, not like I want to go there again. Well that done got her going as she wanted to know why I said that, and by all means I’m here to tell you all about it. A long time ago, I can say that look at my age, anyway back in my high school days in the middle of summer the lake was smooth as glass, and halving some free time we were out water skiing. The place we liked the best was this small cove that had great sandy beaches, a place being under age you could drink a little to boot. And if you were lucky enough on some days the girls would venture down there to sun bath and swim, Most they were into the tanning thing, tanning booth back then, no we did all the old fashion way. Well except for a couple I remember tried the heat lamp, which they learn later not a warming tan they wished for. So anyway I’m with a few friends, taking turn’s water skiing around and around. More then likely trolling for girls would be a better way to say it in our teens what would we been doing. So some where between a few hours of skiing and drinking some cheap ass beer , well it had to be cheap if your out there water skiing instead of working it would be cheap right. Beside in them. Days more was better then taste I gather Well it seems three of the girls I went to school with came down there to work on their tans and swim. So three and three equals a six pack and as we sat out there on the boat viewing these fine beauties on the beach, drawing ideas from each other just how we were to make a grand entrance and by all means some thing awful special , like leaving that lasting effect as I recall someone said,” Damn if one of us was skiing and we swung the boat in close to shore and the one skiing could just let go and coast in on them and not even get wet just slip right on up there and step out of the water-ski on dry land”. Now that would just about get their attention and all would be cool I was a daring soul and with bravery poured from the twelve ounce can, I jumped in and grab the ski rope as we made way for our descent on the unexpecting girls. In a matter of second I was up on the top crossing back and fourth over the wake, that could have been the best part of the day, as I was beginning to get the idea of the head over heels feeling, an image of them and us gathering around a small fire after dark, and all of us giggling and oh yea many pictures flooded my teenage mind. Yes sir bob, Dandy was on the making!!!!!!!! Well, it seem as we were on the final approach to the beach, they turn the boat back out as I jumped the wake heading for the beach. Yes indeed there they laid there three buns in al their glory basting in the sun, so much so I didn’t seem to notice my speed was beyond stopping in the three inches of water I had planned, and yes I already pass the bail out depth . Down to remembering the fastest man back then is much slower then I was traveling. At the time. Gone was the grand entry arranged by three drunks in a boat!!!!!!! Dandy was a goner for sure no more thought of them beauties it was survival at the utmost second. Well my water ski stop as we hit the shore line, my attempt to out run the crash was soon discovered as each stride took me inland, it was amazing that there was ten foot span between foot marks, but my upper portion was out running the bottom half and the once learned how to fall property was not of this world as I began to roll head over heels for the next fifty feet. So as I tried to lay there trying to be unnoticed which by no means did that happen, I came to the conclusion that there was in no means or ways was I ever going to be head over heels for another girl in my life. . Well We hope you like a little of my past as with the cold weather, luagher make each day a little brighter, figured we could use alittle is all Take care. D  |

That reminds me of a story when hubby and I were first married. I was 19, and nervous 'cause I couldn't swim - we went canoeing on the Kankakee River with our friends. Hubby and I were in one canoe, (with the cooler of beer) our friends were in another canoe - bestman from our wedding (150 lbs.) in the back, his wife (a good 220 lbs.) in the middle, and "Baby Huey" as we called him (over 300 lbs.) in the front. Man, they tipped that thing over and over and over!!!! Have a great day, and be nice to one another.
