Muddy Water

Muddy Water Sometimes when we go off on a fishing trip, it for the relaxation, the times memories are made of and all that goes with it. For what was an excepted and what it became is all so different much like the water that runs in the river this time of year, maybe even so much in fact that it never really dawned on me muddy water doesn’t really cast much of a reflection does it. Down south from here there is a place we go where two rivers meet. Upstream from one river is a dam that is only a mile and haft from where we fish and since the water comes from the bottom of the reservoir it runs clear and you can see most of the bottom when it is low, and since they weren’t running all the generators it was just that. You could see all the rocks and fish and what ever else lay beyond the surface and in the smoother area of it yes even you could see your reflection of sorts. The other river is fed from it source of more rivers and streams up river from you and as the spring thaw, it turns from the clear water into a combine color of earth and mud, not much to be seen as you look into it, only a midiron foot or so before there is nothing, and by all means not a reflection to be seen. Now then if you cast your line into the one river that ran clear even the fish seeing the line and lure would vanish before your eyes. On the other hand when I fished in the muddy water, my line and lure not visible and under cover of the muddy water made it much easer to get with in reach of the fish. But if you fished at the mouth of one and drag our line from the muddy water into the clear water you were lucky to get a fish , which we were very fortune enough to do. But where am I going with this tidbit of thought as I found myself wondering is that how we go through life. We see part of our future and yet we do have to swim in the muddy water to finally see the reflection of what we wish for. As I studied this little thought of the different and being I had took my father with me , I came down to the thought that in ways I knew that his age is caught up with him ,and in the weeks time, his mind has been slipping more then I care to admit too. Or has it, as he knows of our move and hell fire was it his way of making it easier for me to go. It was a rough week, his stories of previous fishing trips he not even acknowage I was with him then, no it really threw me a curve until the one day as we sat there on the river bank in the down pouring rain and in the distance a sound of big twins rumbling up the highway from the far side he finally looked at me and said, “ do you ever get cold when your riding?’ And I kind of felt the warmth from the sound and replied, “Not at all for it is the ride that warm my soul “ Then he said, “I guess you will send me a post card every now and then right?’ Yes, I agreed with him as I stood up casting my line back into the muddy water for now I have no more answers to give him. I think we both know we will remember that day as the nine bikes rolled by that day. Oh well, now I got that off my chest, Dandy ready to fix my blog leaving everyone hanging for so long, better put some finish to our story got some writing to catch up on. Hi! Glad you are writing again. I had thought back to my fishing experiences. If I wasn't such a wimp, I'd take my son and daughter. But this princess is used to people baiting her hook and removing her catches! Did I tell you how much fun I enjoy fishing!!!  I do! As long as I have a keeper

Hi! Glad you are writing again. I had thought back to my fishing experiences. If I wasn't such a wimp, I'd take my son and daughter. But this princess is used to people baiting her hook and removing her catches! Did I tell you how much fun I enjoy fishing!!! I do!
