Just thinking out loud...

Wondering if the car company VW heard both versions of the song "Ca Plane Pour Moi" and "Jet Boy Jet Girl" before they used it in their car commercial?

Both versions were mixed together and used so much in the 80's club scene.
The 2<b> songs </font></b>used the same backing track. They were so easy to mix if you were a club DJ

"Ca Plane Pour Moi" was done by Plastic Bertrand

"jet Boy Jet Girl" was done by Elton Motello and also the band The Damned.

Do you remember these two songs?

 I remember this song well, wasn't a bit of a scandal years later when it was revealed that Mr Bertrand didn't actually sing on the record, that it was somebody else? Or am I getting confuzzled with another song?
