Cyndi Lauper Before Cyndi Lauper Before Cyndi Lauper went out on her own, and was known as Cyndi Lauper. She was just a singer in a band called Blue Angel. I was lucky enough to see the band 3 times. The years were 1981 & 1982 Twice in NYC Privates and Hurrahs Once in Asbury Park, NJ The Fast Lane At that time, I was living in Manhattan at 2350 Broadway between 85th and 86th Street. Upper westside a place called Bretton Hall. Lived there from late '79 to '84 before moving into the DC / Northern VA area. I was working at a Recording Studio on West 57th Street. Those years I was able to hit so many well-known NYC Clubs. Here we are now in 2019... and It's an evening I'm just thinking about those good ole days. A few minutes ago I was on the net checking out that music video site and came across the show I seen at Private's. Needless to say - This made my night! yes,isnt it great that someone recorded and posted this on the tube place? i love that so many performances have been stored..as a trumpet player,as so many others,maynard ferguson was a hero,and many of his performances are there too..also..pbs has so many great vids stored and available to view.. woop woop
