That was a crazy ride….

I am not certain if I am dedicated or crazy!?!? I got my car out no problem this morning and got stuck at the end of the street. Thanks to a couple of guys down the street I got out and was on my way to work. I got on the highway and thought, “what the hell am I doing driving in this.” I could not see two feet in front of my car. Blowing snow has visibility down to a few feet. I took the longer safer route to work, and prayed I would have clear sailing. I made it

I was at work for an hour when the executives decided it was necessary to close down. No one should be on the roads today. So all who had not made it in yet or who were not scheduled in yet were contacted to stay home. Those of us who made it to work were sent home before they take the cabs off the streets too. Right now nothing is running except essential services and very few cabs.

My department was a ghost town… lol. Of the 12 employees, four made it in, three who walk and me.

So I am home enjoying a snow day with pay!!! Think I will tackle a few of the totes in storage. See what can be purged and what to keep. Then repack what I am saving.

Stay safe and warm everyone {=}

Awww, I am hurt... I was hoping you would think I am dedicated. Actually you are not alone with that opinion... one of my coworkers had to pick his jaw up off the floor when he saw me walk in the office. LOL... he too thinks I am nutz!! I still prefer to think I am just that dedicated to my job.

Sometimes it's better to go with your gut feeling and just stay home. You probably should have turned around when you got stuck.

I would have had to move the car today anyway, there is a parking ban on for tonight. This way it is safe at work and I am safe at home. Although, I may be a little crazy for going to work in the first place, I prefer to think dedicated, with a crazy twist.

We will get between 2 and 3 feet with this storm from what I am hearing in some weather reports. Hard to believe that a month ago there was no snow in most areas here. Almost spring like weather. Oh well, this too shall pass. Thanks for stopping by.
