Torn Up Inside So, i looked to see if i had any views on my account (as i regularly do) and i see that there is the standard views from China and Taiwan, but then i notice that i have a flirt and a message coming from one of the people who have viewed my profile. so i read the message and their profile and decided to message them back. they seem nice and i have started to get attached to them, as they apparently have with me. they are currently volunteering abroad and will be paid at the end of their spell. this is where some issues may come into play... the first is the age gap, she is 30(ish) and i'm only 18. right there is a difference that can be disheartening and beneficial because of my lack in experience. it makes me afraid that i won't be able to "satisfy" some of her needs, but this will benefit me because she already knows what she likes and can teach me things that someone my own age doesn't know. the second issue that has come up is that i don't know whether this person is who they say that they are. this is the internet and you can't be too careful with what you do here. if everyone were truly honest with each other, the world would be messed up, but you would know who people really are. this then brings me onto my next issue. now you will have to insert the word "apparently" where you see this symbol ^. so previously mentioned, this person is ^ currently volunteering in another country at the moment. and they packed some food before they left. they then ran out and have been living off the same things as the<b> locals. </font></b>they are also ^ broke and have no money. they have also ^ got no friends that can help because they now need money as they are ^ sick from this local food. and now she is asking me for money. I really truly want to help her and there may be a chance of something real, a true win for myself, but this is could go either way. i am unsure of whether i should believe this person or not. i really want to because of how sick i am of being alone in this world, with exception of family and friends. i need a companion seriously bad. i recently went to a doctor and a counselor and they diagnosed me with depression. the best way that i have found though seems to be simply blogging on here. i think that this also helps me keep myself grounded in reality. my hallucinations still persist though, i still hear my name being called from empty space, or hear what other people are thinking. i am also still seeing people following me around. it gets on my nerves thinking that there is someone out there playing with my life, but it seems that whenever i write this down, i seem to get some ease and peace within my mind. i really hope that this is a true win and that i get to meet the person that they say they are on the 15th.... maybe this might be the one thing that manages to fix me seeing as isolating myself hasn't yet done any good. |

As soon as I saw they were asking for money, the red flag hit me over the head! No, no, no, NO, do not send this person money! They are taking advantage of your kindness, innocence, and your need for companionship. You wait for the relationship to develop (for real - not on the Internet!!) ... if you are required to give money it is NOT the relationship you are seeking. {=} {=} {=} Michelle Malcomb

as soon as anyone asks for money, time to leave. There is ALWAYS someone local they can really get $$ from if they need to. Doubt this is a real person you are talking to, more like a scammer bidding their time.
