So, let's talk...or not

So, let's talk...or not

Today I went on a lunch date. I clearly felt very comfortable with my companion. I was super chatty. Now, I won't lie. I love to talk, and when I'm passionate about a particular subject matter, I'm pretty excitable...picture Ron Horshack from Welcome Back Kotter. Whatever! You know you watched reruns just like I did. Anyway, I really felt like I monopolized the conversation today. I watched his face. He wasn't bored, and he didn't seem to mind. And I did ask questions, and I did listen to his replies, so I wasn't a total ass. But I wonder how much is too much? Should I have sat across from him and kept quiet? Or do you guys enjoy being around a woman who can be lighthearted and friendly? I'm a story teller by nature, but I don't know what got into me today. It was like I'd just been released from a vow of silence and I was making up for lost time. In the end, he did ask me out again and said he had a good time, but I wonder if I should have behaved differently? Personally, I feel like the worst date ever. No wonder I never go out.

Me personally I'm just quiet I like to listen to the other person unless I'm asked something but that's just me, I have to ummm how do you say it "prodded" into the convo almost every single time

I'm just me

I like to listen to people talk, too. Again, I freely admit I'm passionate about something, then I'm likely to steal the show and only an elbow to the face could stop me, but I'm normally capable of a give and take.

I over think everything. It's what I do, lol.

Hahahahaha. I think it's common for people to be more mellow at times...and without mood enhancers. I work midnights, and I drink a lot of coffee to help me through the day when I have things to do. Maybe that was part of it. I had three cups of coffee at lunch.

I actually enjoy when the lady I am with is so open and wants to talk about things. And for the record, you just made me feel old, I remember watching Welcome Back Kotter when it was in its original run. I enjoyed it then, and still do when I find it in syndication. I'm glad you had a enjoyable time, and if he is lucky, then he will get to see you again.
