Deleted Comments on Blogs I recently got into commenting on some blogs, particularly the ones involving the Transgender community. One was deleted (another one is there but it says in yellow type that my comment is pending review by the blogger) and thus my opinion no longer available for others to see. I did not use foul language but I did state in just a few words how I felt. Apparently the blogger (or the site) did not like what I said and chose to delete the comment. Is there some protocol to doing this or can any blogger just choose to ignore some opinions in order to keep just the favorable ones? I can promise you that any blog I create will not be censored in any way just to favor my way. Take care and be safe. Ciao. Gina |

Anyone can delete a comment if they want. I don't, but sometimes people can say nasty things and it's tempting. Some people set it up for *pending review* so they can check first before letting others see it. If you ever have a *Private Conversations* post where people can talk to you privately, that's how you have to do THAT POST ONLY. The rest can be open. In a P.C. post, always hit *respond* when answering.. Not *comment* or *quote*, or others will be able to read it, too.

I don't care about deleting or reviewing comments. What does bother me is when the original post that everyone is commenting on is edited by the original poster to where the comments now no longer make any sense. What this site should do is allow the original post to be quoted ... that would show that the original post had been edited and also display that the post had been edited. Other blogs and forums do this kind of thing. This one should do it as well. AB No Bozos

Thanks all. I did see it after i posted it but maybe it still had not gone through the process that the blogger had set up. I don't know how to set it up so that I have these choices that you talk about so my blogs will be open to any comment good or bad. No SandraD it was not your blog and Connie I would never delete any of your informative comments. However in lieu of your claim to be a witch I wonder if you have a spell I can use to increase my boobs or do I have to be more patient with these hormones. Oh well, take care and be safe all. Ciao. I realize you cannot real emails so: if you can go find Darling_Annette on her blog she gives very specific directions in the beginning on how to set up a mail box on your blog so you can see and reply to mail. A lot of things happen on this site sometimes for no apparent reason. I've had the same thing a few times with comments. But then on blogs, it's usually up to whoever's blog it is too. Then there's the site's glitches, which are a complete different world. Excellent post too !!

So... why haven't you posted any more? I've seen you comment on someone else's post once, and you seem to be pretty friendly. I think people would like you.

I am usually a very controlled writer and i am meticulous in my grammar and try to share an issue that's' on my mind and use illustrations to help legitimize and support my beliefs and convictions that i hold close to my heart. The reason for a reply is yes i have encountered words, even simple ones like "and" "to" which simply disappear from my original text. This makes it a little more difficult understanding a point i am trying to make. I don't even try to go back and edit because usually there's enough substance left that my point is still clear even though it appears i might have failed a few English courses. I assume others have encountered the same problem so they know the deal and know i am just trying to share a little bit of my true self and hope i strike an emotional chord that results in a few members offering friendship into a larger group that doesn't require rules and regulations concerning behavioral conduct but totally accepts individuals without judgement.
