Sexual Pleasure

Bondage is an amazing way to tap into the psychological aspects of sex—the stuff that makes sex sexy instead of just body parts rubbing each other. Tying someone up or allowing yourself to be bound, is about trust, uncertainty, submission, creativity, communication, control and, surrender. It can take your relationship and your sex life to the next level. And bondage doesn’t have to be hard-core; it can be as light or as intense as you and your partner want it to be and feel comfortable with, and you can always take things up a notch once you start to feel even more comfortable and get more turned on by it.

Before you start with the tying, there are some important things to keep in mind. That is, stop immediately if anyone is uncomfortable, set ground rules ahead of time, don’t use materials that could be dangerous (for example, a pair of tights used as a rope can get too tight and cut off circulation), keep scissors nearby for emergency escape and make sure you absolutely trust your partner.

If you have no idea where to start, here are a few creative positions to get you going. Note: These positions are geared toward your doing the binding but can (and should!) be switched around. You can use bondage materials you bought expressly for this purpose or, if you’re just dipping your toes or want to get started right away, you can use whatever you have lying around the house. Get creative!
