How was my day?

How was my day?

Let me tell you!

Who could have known that, in a retail sales position, you would have to go to such great lengths to satisfy a customer.

I certainly didn't...

But there I was, holding a woman's oxygen tank while she spritzed room sprays to see which ones didn't affect her lung issues. At one point she spritzed one, gagged, commented that she couldn't handle the scent, then spritzed it again to make sure.

Really?!

My last customer of the day was really the cherry on top of my sundae, though. It was a guy who openly stated, as he stepped through the door, that he was only looking and would not require any help from "helicopter sales people." He then proceeded to consume the next 45 minutes of my time as he asked me questions about products and requested demo's to see if they "made him stink pretty."

If people only knew how much of a jackass they look like when they proclaim such stupid shit.

Here's the thing. Retail stores employ sales associates to assist customers in making sales.

Pure and simple.

Our entire job, the whole time we are at work, is to ASSIST customers. So, the next time you are greeted at the door or have someone approach you and say hi, remember this.
