Today I am thankful.

There is a lot going on in the world today.

I think we all know why....

But, today I am thankful that I was forced to work a Saturday.

Why thankful?

I'm thankful because I have a JOB that I can still continue to go to every day. I'm thankful that I'm being asked to work OT, that's extra in my pocket!! I'm thankful because the company I work for cares enough about it's employees that we are receiving hazard incentives for putting ourselves out there in the midst of the illness and chaos.

I'm thankful be healthy!

I may not be able buy toilet paper, rice, and yeast... But I'm thankful that I got to finally pick up a bag of potatoes and a loaf of bread today.

The world doesn't seem quite as terrible when you sit down and think about all the stuff you have to be thankful for.

Thank you, lindoboy. People tend to take advantage of that, so we'll keep it a secret. 🤐

we've been told we will be paid even if we shut down.
We aren't shutting down where I work.... We're actually hiring between 60 and 90 people to help us through. My company is killing 2 birds with one stone... They're trying to put displaced workers back to work temporarily until they can return back to their normal jobs. And, we really need help temporarily to keep us going.

I am thankful for my husband. He is taking all the precautions to keep his family safe. He’s the one braving the stores and bringing us what supplies he can. He’s the one who’s getting the mail and taking the trash out. He’s the one who is still working and bringing us our income. I’ve noticed the kids taking advantage of him doing their chores.... lol, I told them they better be careful cause this won’t last forever! Show your father how thankful you are for keeping us all safe! Without him the chances of us staying that way would be grim. So yes... I am truly grateful to have such a wonderful man in my life. I am bored tho. LOL!! I miss helping out so much! Who woulda thought things like getting the mail or taking the trash out would be missed! Hahaha
That is a great reason to be thankful! He loves his family!

I too am thankful, the sun shinned, it was warm, I was able to clean my lawn from all the ice and snow damage left from the winter.
Thankful that it will rain tomorrow and wash away a lot of the pollen that is getting me.
Thankful that I can go and look into the window to see my mother Sunday morning her place is locked down..
Further thankful that, I too, worked a lot of Saturdays and Sundays, I owe nothing, I have a realistic income but it took a long time to get this way
Just thankful to be here and have so many friends..
I hope all come through this Virus safely and recover what ever you lost..
Those are all great things to be thankful for! I'm glad you still got to see your mom.

I'm thankful I bought TP before it was that popular...and so difficult to find. I thankful I'm still healthy. Well, that I don't have COVID-19. I'd be even more thankful if I was healthy! lol But it could be worse, so there's that.
Who would have thought tp would be such a hot commodity?? I bought a package earlier in the week. Not because I boarded it.... But because I was down to 1 roll. You have to go early in the day to find it.

I have a lot to be thankful for today...

My supply run this morning was fruitful. I drove 100 miles round-trip to get my favorite brands of shampoo and deodorant, which is kinda ironic considering I won't have any social life for the duration. Also scored 2 8-packs of bar soap, which should last me 6 months or more, showering alone.

I'm thankful the local Walmart had some meds that I ordered this morning, and I found a jar of yeast, so I'll have bread for a few weeks.

More importantly, I'm thankful my kids are still healthy and working. My daughter is head of her department at a hospital, so she should be reporting to work and getting a paycheck for a while even if her husband's employer decides this working from home stuff isn't cost effective. My son had a job yesterday, but we'll see if the governor locks us down and if he still has a job Monday.

I'm thankful I retired last year. I feel good, except for a bout of GOUT, of all things!

I'm thankful I have friends upon whom I can rely, and they on me.
Those are great reasons to be thankful.... Except for the gout. Yikes!
