A day at the beach #40 It was Saturday morning, my girlfriend and I ready ourselves for a day at the beach. I rinse my face and brush my teeth after a quick breakfast. We gather our things and are on our way. It's another beautiful day in California. We lived in Pasadena; off of Colorado. We could walk down to Old Town Pasadena. Take in the crowded streets, shops and restaurants. We took my car. My girlfriend's was in the shop. God! I hate taking my car into the auto shop. Something about dealing with mechanics that irks me! That and going to the dentist; a list of things I hate to do, but we have to do them anyway. But we were lucky, we had found a good honest mechanic in Glendale. So off we went. It was late in May. Beach weather was coming into season. It was all about timing, if you want to avoid traffic. One thing about California. Traffic! There was always traffic. It was a special talent to master the art of avoiding traffic. It took a few months for me to hone my craft. We were both in our mid-20s. Out of college and working. A handsome couple. Modern socialites. She was very beautiful, I might add. She wears a bikini like no one's business. Many heads would be turned today. Quite a few stares. Look honey, I said as I pointed out a layer of brown dirt along the horizon. I remember not having lived in California long feeling this heaviness in my chest from breathing in the lovely California air. I hadn't quite gotten use to the smog. Not much traffic, so we make the trip in a timely manner. We find our spot and set up camp. Just an expression. It's kind of early, so we decide to go for a walk. We walked along the shoreline, where the sand was smooth and wet from the crashing of incoming waves. We would hold hands. We were always very affectionate with each other. Always hugging and kissing. I was a dark cloudy thunderstorm, while she was a bright<b> sunny </font></b>day. Always with a smile on her face. I needed that. I needed as much affection from her as I could get. To recharge my batteries, so to speak. To get a burst of positive energy from her. Whenever I touched her, I could feel this energy transfer. After our walk, we settled in for our day at the beach. Laying out and the occasional dip in the ocean to cool off. After a long day, it was time to go. So we packed up and were on our way back home. Bringing home with us a layer of sand, salt, and sunscreen. Once home, first things first was a shower. We showered together. Neither one of us could wait to wash the ocean from our bodies and get that fresh clean feel again. After a day at the beach there was this kind of sticky feeling I had on my skin. Plus it was always fun to shower with her, if you know what I mean. I would wash her. She would wash me. Amongst other things. Something about spending the day at the beach turned us on. It was all that sun and getting a tan. It was like all that sun and ocean turns into sexual energy. Our sex life would be much more intense for the next few days to a couple of weeks. Something about her suntan body that really made me hot. Especially tonight. It was going to be incredibly hot. I was not going to be able to keep my hands off of her. So after fooling around in the shower and now all fresh and clean; we loved to go into Old Town for dinner. After the sun had gone down, we would sit in the open air with a nice cool breeze and soak in the night's atmosphere. After dinner, I couldn't wait to get her back home again. I had to be with her. To touch her. I wanted to rub her skin with lotion that we had bought from the health food store. It was something that would help protect our skin from all that sun. It was a chance for me to completely caress and worship her body. And after that, well I've always been shy talking about those things.
