It was just on the surface something pretending be alive something that hid behind things that blocks your view of me I was hidden away someplace alone I couldn't surface come up for air I was underwater I wasn't there I was afraid show myself afraid be myself so I stayed locked away from you walls separated us from being close together I was afraid to get next to you you were someone I didn't know who you were friend or foe I was just trying to work through my<b> scars </font></b>all I've experienced I'm hanging on through all my pain
