The desert sand

I was seated in my car 
somewhere in the middle of nowhere 
I had the<b> windows </font></b>open
 it was hot 
I need feel a cool breeze 
blow through
 it was in the middle of the desert
 it was deadly silent 
not a sound could be heard
 I felt this peace 
I rest my head for a moment
 I just want soak in 
the peace and quiet
 feel the roar of life dissipate
 if only for a moment
 just hear myself think
 without the noise of the world
 going around
 I could get used this
 the quiet
the silence
 I could get used this
 alone in the desert 
with only the desert sand
  keep company
