Blazing Saddles When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Movie called Harlem Nights with Eddie Murphy , Red Foxx, Richard Pryor, Della Reece. Funniest movie I ever seen and with all the political correctness B.S now it would never be remade

The Godfather.... no way that could be remade successfully Come think dirty with me - GixxerLust

Just try to remake City Lights, Modern Times or The Great Dictator. Also impossible to recreate, Duck Soup, A Day At the Races, or A Night At the Opera. People are strange when you're a stranger."

Monty Python - Pretty much any of them. They are true classics and cannot be redone. At least in my opinion... Especially Holy Grail or Life of Brian.. Rachel Mae

I agree, the lack of originality is appalling, as I mentioned in my post Not So Finest Hours for screenwriters. Great answers so far as to what cannot (or should not) be remade. I'll add Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Apocalypse Now, Heaven's Gate, Ishtar and UHF.
